Matangi 2 is the extension of the Matangi project set to procure new EMU vehicles for the Wellington rail network by Hyundai-Rotem, South Korea.

Involved in the quality assurance process, Michael has assisted in the development of a database system to support the project team in logging quality and commissioning issues of vehicles, including the integration of photographs. The package produced reports and summaries used by the team in managing the build quality of the vehicles.

To aid in the monitoring of specification compliance, Michael constructed the RFATD requirements matrix.
Further, Michael was stationed on-site in Changwon, South Korea to conduct manufacturing compliance inspections and oversee type and routine testing of vehicles prior to delivery.
